Chapter 12 My fear is still death

I decided to visit the Lofty Inn first. I knew it was not pretty and would give me a death scare. Seeing how I already said we would not spend good money on inns. I felt the need to complete my first Main Quest.

Maximum, Demon, and Life giver left with the Oracle and his family. I was glad we walked them out first. If they saw what I was about to do. They would probably beat me over my head.

Walking to the inn's door, I opened it and saw a yellow striped wooded spider. A male rests on a tree in the Ninth Realm only has babies once. It then relaxes on the top of the tree. The children of the spider always feed him. If the tree becomes full of yellow striped wooded spiders. Then a female will climb the tree. Once at the top, they have a small duel. If the male wins, the female is forced to give birth to children to all the males in the tree. If the female wins, the male becomes food for the female and another batch of yellow striped wooded spiders will overtake the tree.

For any spider that lives on the tree, not the father. They are required to eat whatever yellow striped wooded spider comes into their webs. If the father loses, then the current spiders make the webs stronger and allow themselves to be eaten when the newborn spiders enter the web.

The problem with them is that their poison can kill a Warlord Mid Ranked Beast. Meaning that a Peak King's Realm cultivator will die if bitten just once. If the poison from them is spit on a cultivator, they will immediately be sentenced to the highest Realm doctor. Most of the time, they will die anyways but if the cultivator knows it is coming and covers themselves with Qi. They can live for a week at max.

The problem was now that one is in front of me. My entire body froze up and only noticed the spider hanging from a thread.

I felt that I was passing out from sheer shock and waking up at the same time. I did not know if it was because of the goddesses blessings. I knew that something was wrong and my body would not move.

"What is wrong Rex?" Iris had a loving tone and gently jumped into my back.

Seeing the yellow striped wooded spider. She immediately forced Liz to burn the spider. Liz casually accepted the offer to burn the spider alive.

Seeing the spider completely disappear, Iris and Liz both felt a sense of accomplishment. Seeing how I was not moving. They knew I had been scared silly.

I too felt a sense of accomplishment because I did not fall down towards the spider nor to my guardians behind me. Seeing how they had to carry me inside and help me recover.

I still felt that I had lost in terms of needing help. I also knew that I could not wait until I reached the Heavenly Realm to get rid of the Death blessing.

"How much for a single room?" Iris began to speak like she and I were going to be together in the room.

"Yes. I will be there also!" Liz made Iris mad.

Seeing how the two were Water and Fire. Under the Lofty Inn started to shake from the steam pressure from the water and fire raging under the inn. I had to hurry out of my haziness.

"System how can I get out of this haziness?"

"Host can offer a little Heavenly Qi and get the ghost to come out."

Hearing that, I tried forcing myself to get Heavenly Qi out. Nothing was working until I heard a little girl's voice.

"LEAVE NO ONE SHALL INTRUDE ON MY HOUSE!"

The girls looked around and noticed that I had begun floating. Seeing how I was floating, they knew I could not have begun Qi cultivation to float. They forced the owner to spill the beans while I was taken upstairs.

We entered one of the two rooms on the top floor. The door locked and I felt a sense of security. It was different while being around my guardians. I still could feel safe with this ghost.

"You gave Heavenly Qi. How is that possible?"

I began to think how I did it but being in this haziness. I could not think for more than a couple of seconds before I sensed the yellow striped wooded spider.

"I cannot remember."

The ghost I could tell was looking at my soul directly. It was a good thing I was telling the truth. If not, I would not know what would happen to me.

"I was from the Heavenly Realm."

Hearing that I knew my life would become a lot better hearing what the ghost had to say.

"I died being brutally used by several men and my tamed beasts became theirs."

Hearing that I felt pity for this ghost. I knew I should not have but I wanted this ghost to feel better.

"I can enter the egg you currently hold in your inventory and change the egg into a mutant egg."

Hearing what the ghost was willing to do. I had to figure out what the ghost wanted in return.

"What do you need in return?"

The ghost waited for just a second I felt that it lost its gaze on my soul.

"I want you."

I then began to see my soul leave my body. I knew that I had died.

While seeing my spirit leave, the ghost grabbed my spirit and shoved it down into my body.

"Why did I get this Death blessing?" I began to wonder.

Once my spirit was back in my body. The ghost seemed to have also been scared. I did not know why.

"I want you to become my brother."

Hearing that I had to become the ghost's brother. I felt my spirit began to leave.

The ghost seemed to notice my spirit leaving my body again.

Pulling my spirit back in my body again. I knew she would be holding my spirit in my body.

I then began to wonder what was up with this ghost. I felt that it was a she but I was not sure. Iris never explained anything to me.

I tried to set up but with the ghost holding my spirit. I could not move unless I asked permission.

"Can I try to sit up please?"

The ghost then circled my body and raised my body while holding my spirit. I then felt my body resting against the back of the bed.

Getting against the bed. I could honestly tell that the ghost was trying its best to cheer me up. I also knew I could not crack my final egg anytime soon.

"Your egg would automatically get an advantage in the Heavenly Realm with my soul inside."

Hearing that I knew the ghost was trying to be truthful. The words were not enough to make me convinced but feeling it against my spirit.

It was completely weird and I nearly died again but since my spirit was being held by this ghost. I could not die.
